The Partnerships Awards 2012 has extended the entry deadline to 24 February 2012. The aim of the Awards is to promote best practice and recognise innovation and excellence in public infrastructure projects using private finance. As these awards are now global, the categories are open to projects, teams and individuals from across the world. Please click on the categories below to download the entry form and email back to kirsty.wilson@partnershipsbulletin.com. You can enter as many categories as you wish.

Projects Category

• Best Transport Project

  This category is for Transport projects rather than individual organisations. It is open for both entries and nominations for deals that were signed between 1st January 2010 and 31st December 2011.

• Best Accommodation Project

  This category is for all health, education, housing, central government, blue light and courts projects, rather than individual organisations. It is open for both entries and nominations for deals that were signed between 1st January 2010 and 31st December 2011.

• Best Waste/Energy/Water Project

  This category is for all waste, energy and water projects, rather than individual organisations. It is open for both entries and nominations for deals that were signed between 1st January 2010 and 31st December 2011.

• Best Community Project

  This category is for projects delivered by the local or regional government, which have made an outstanding contribution to the community. It is open for both entries and nominations for deals that were signed between 1st January 2010 and 31st December 2011.

• Best Pathfinder Project

  This category is for all public infrastructure projects that demonstrate the best ‘first of its kind’ in a sector or region. It is open for both entries and nominations for deals that were signed between 1st January 2010 and 31st December 2011.

• Best Operational Project

  This category is for all operational public infrastructure projects that have used private finance. It is open for both entries and nominations for deals that have become fully operational. Please note, projects are only permitted to be entered once every three years.

• The Judges Award for Projects Grand Prix

  The Judges Awards for Projects Grand Prix is awarded to one of the winning entries from the Projects Category. The winner of this 'best of the best' category will be decided at the judging morning and will be announced, along with the other winners, at the Awards ceremony.

Best Practice Category

• Best Designed Project

  The judges will be looking for design excellence irrespective of style, size or complexity of project. They will also take into account constraints of budget, brief and timetable. The winning project will be capable of enduring as a fine work of architecture throughout its working life and have been designed or completed during 2011.

• Best Sustainability in a Project

  The judges will be looking for outstanding sustainable outcomes irrespective of style, size or complexity of project. They will also take into account constraints of budget, brief and timetable. The winning project will have been signed or completed during 2011.

• Best Alternative Deal Structure

Companies and Teams Category

• Best Local Government Project Team

  For this category, the judges will be looking for local government project team that have provided clear project leadership, leading to innovative deal structures and timely, efficient delivery of projects in 2011.

• Best Central/Regional Government PPP Promoter

• Best Legal Adviser
