Leading construction firm requires a PFI Commercial Manager to be responsible for all commercial aspects of their Educational PFI projects. This will include:

  • The development of future schools from concept through successful contract signature (which may be on a PFI or Design and Build basis)
  • The successful ongoing operation of the completed schools

You will be required to:

  • Have a thorough working knowledge of standard forms of contract, including PFI forms (SoPC3, SoPC4, DH SF3) and their FM, ICT, D&B flowdown contracts, as well as D&B forms
  • Be responsible for the preparation of budgets
  • Have a knowledge of Risk Management
  • Be able to manage external teams of advisors, such as Legal and financial
  • Deal with commercial interfaces within the supply chain, such as Design & Build/ FM/ ICT Partners
  • Interface with the Public Sector client and his advisors
  • Lead any commercial issues of the operational projects

You will have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Strong management skills and experience
  • A thorough understanding of bid management processes
  • Educational experience especially with Local Authorities as partners or clients
  • Experince of ongoing PFI/BSF Operations.
  • Fundamental understanding all aspects of partnering skills.
  • Experience of PFI transactions from a client, construction, service, finance, or legal perspective
  • Bid management skills from a D&B Construction, FM or ICT service delivery background
