Ghana port PPP tendered

17 May 2016 The government of Ghana is seeking expressions of interest to build, finance and operate a bulk cargo terminal under a concession.
Under the ministry of transport, the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) is procuring the upgrade and expansion of the Port of Takoradi under a 20-year PPP contract.
The concessionaire will modernise the facility, plus provide deeper berths and the necessary cargo handling equipment systems for a new generation of operations. 
The terminal operator is envisaged to be part of the final operational design and development of the terminal to meet the performance objectives.
Interested parties are expected to submit statements of qualifications by 30 June.
