Arcadis confirms CEO nomination

21 April 2017 Consultancy Arcadis has confirmed its intention to nominate its new chief executive at next week’s annual general meeting.

The firm will put forward Peter Oosterveer as its nominated choice for the position for approval by shareholders at the event on 26 April.

Oosterveer has been chief operating officer, with profit and loss responsibility, for the commercial operations of Fluor worldwide.

Arcadis confirmed his nomination in its trading update for the first quarter of 2017, in which it reported EBITDA of €52m, down from the €56m in the same period last year.

“Our operating model has been simplified and we realised the associated structural cost savings,” said interim chief executive and chief financial officer, Renier Vree. “We see a positive business sentiment in most geographies, but we remain cautious about market developments in Brazil, the Middle East, and parts of Asia.”
