Hull student accomm moves closer

18 May 2017 Bonds to finance a new student accommodation project at the University of Hull have been rated by Moody’s.

The ratings agency has assigned a long-term Baa3 rating to the £126m fully amortising senior secured bonds to be issued by partner UPP.

UPP will use the bonds to finance the construction of new student accommodation at the university, which received planning approval in March.

Hull University and UPP agreed a deal in September last year to provide accommodation for around 1,450 students and the planning application features plans for a range of single rooms and one bedroom apartments.
