Balfour Beatty unveils new leadership team

29 October 2012 Balfour Beatty Construction Services has announced a new leadership structure as part of a major shake-up that will see the end of several well-known operating arms.

Existing divisions including Mansell, Dean & Dyball and Cowlin will be brought fully within the Balfour Beatty umbrella as the firm's six operating companies in the UK will be integrated into one business.

Balfour Beatty Construction Services UK currently consists of six operating companies: Mansell, Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering, Balfour Beatty Major Civil Engineering, Balfour Beatty Construction Scottish & Southern, Balfour Beatty Construction Northern and Balfour Beatty Engineering Services.

Under the restructure, the company will house three divisions: Major Projects, focusing on larger schemes in areas such as power and transport; Regional, covering sectors in which projects can be delivered from regional hubs; and Engineering Services.

The new executive team will see Bob Clark lead the Major Projects team, Steve Waite take on the managing director role for the Regional business and Dave Donaldson take charge of Engineering Services.

"2013 will be a pivotal year for us and these changes will help us to focus even more on what we're known for - delivering innovative, quality projects," said Balfour Beatty Construction Services UK chief executive, Mike Peasland.
