Contractors chosen for Welsh racing circuit

The winning bidders for the £250m automotive complex in south Wales have been revealed.
Spanish giant FCC and Welsh firm Alun Griffiths will deliver the project, which is being touted as a potential ‘hybrid’ PPP model.Under the plans proposed by the Heads of the Valleys Development Company, a world class, 3.5-mile circuit to host top motor sports events will be built, alongside investment in a range of commercial, industrial and leisure facilities based around the low carbon automotive industry.
The project is to be built on an 830-acre site near Ebbw Vale in Blaenau Gwent.
