It will be an extension of the 26km Dhaka elevated expressway linking Hazrat Shahjahal International Airport to the Dhaka – Chittagong highway, which is near Shanir Akhra.

Valued at close to $2bn, the expressway will feature four intersections at Turag, Ashulia, Baipail and Chandra.

Bid deadlines for the RFQ are due 31 July 2013.
