RFQ out for Bangladesh highway

5 March 2013 Bangladesh has launched a request for qualifications (RFQ) for an expressway PPP in its capital Dhaka.

After the approval of environmental studies, the country’s Ministry of Communications has launched the RFQ for the Dhaka – Ashulia elevated expressway project.

It will be an extension of the 26km Dhaka elevated expressway linking Hazrat Shahjahal International Airport to the Dhaka – Chittagong highway, which is near Shanir Akhra.

Valued at close to $2bn, the expressway will feature four intersections at Turag, Ashulia, Baipail and Chandra.

Bid deadlines for the RFQ are due 31 July 2013.
