Four bidders for German A7 PPP

5 March 2013 Four bidders have prequalified for a German A7 motorway PPP.

BAM/Vinci (advised by Deutsche Bank), Hochtief (advised by Societe Generale), Strabag/Meridiam (advised by PwC), and Bilfinger (advised by UniCredit) are understood to be the bidders for the $372m Bordesholm-Hamburg motorway.

The project involves upgrading a 65km stretch of the A7 between Bordesholm and Hamburg to six lanes. The maintenance contract then covers 59km of this 65km stretch and runs for 30 years.

The German Unification Highway Planning and Construction Company, which is in charge of the project, has pushed the final deadline for the bids back to 6 June 2013.
