Indiana raises bonds for Ohio Bridges

6 March 2013 Indiana is to launch $641m of private activity bonds to help it fund its portion of the $2.6bn Ohio River Bridges project.
The Indiana Finance Authority is bringing the bonds to market seeking private investors to raise the money required for the scheme.

The state is procuring its part of the scheme – a joint procurement with Ohio – via a P3.

Money raised by the bonds will be provided to preferred bidder WVB East End Partners to fund the project.

Earlier this month, the Indiana Department of Transportation confirmed that the deal will be signed by the end of March.
