|Project name:||WIGAN ORGANIC WASTE TREATMENT|
A contract for the delivery of an organic waste treatment and disposal solution and related services that will divert the Authority’s Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) from landfill. The project covers the transport and treatment/disposal of the household collected organic waste.
The contract structure or financing model has not been decided. It may involve project finance or/and the Authority may provide or procure capital contributions and/or finance and may facilitate funding from other public sector bodies. The estimated financial value range between £23m and £82m.
Deadline for requests to participate is on 27 April 2012 and the invitations to tender will be dispatch by 5 June.
