Project Information
Project name: UK: University of Leicester accommodation
Project description:

The University of Leicester is seeking expressions of interest to design, build, finance and maintain student accommodation, and potentially academic facilities.

It is finalising a masterplan that envisages demolition of some existing halls of residence; redeveloping the site to provide an additional 750-1,250 beds; and converting some existing buildings into ancillary social space.

The student housing partner will design, build, finance and maintain these elements, which are to be made available by September 2020. The private partner will deliver hard FM services over an operational term of up to 50 years.

The university is also exploring the creation of a new build multi-storey car park, and potentially some academic space, as part of this masterplan. Under the plans the student housing partner will potentially design, build and finance these elements and then hand them over to the university to operate and maintain.

Requests to participate are due by 16 January 2017, with a shortlist expected in February.
