Project name: UK: Cayman Islands Integrated Solid Waste Management System (ISWMS)
Project description:

The pre-qualification process to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the facility under a 25-year concession concluded towards the end of 2016. 

The government is now awaiting proposals from selected bidders by early February 2017, with the aim of announcing a preferred bidder by the end of April. 

Maples and Calder and Burges Salmon will advise the government on the legal and regulatory framework for the delivery of the project under a PPP model. 

Amec Foster Wheeler and KPMG provided respectively environmental and financial analysis of the project, which has an estimated value of $538m.
