Project name: UK: Birmingham Smithfield regeneration scheme
Project description:

A joint venture is proposed in which the private partner will be capable of funding or obtaining funding to bring forward the Smithfield regeneration scheme.

Located in the city centre, adjoining the Bullring shopping centre, New Street station and the new HS2 rail terminus, the development is expected to deliver over 300,000sq m of new floor space, 2,000 new homes and an investment value of over £1bn. 

The plans include retail, leisure/cultural attractions, public squares and integrated transport facilities.

Cushman & Wakefield is advising the council. 

Requests to participate are due by 12 September 2017, with clarifications by 8 September. A preferred bidder is expected by March 2018.
