Project Information
Project name: UK: Warwickshire waste management project
Project description:

The Warwickshire Waste Partnership is seeking industry views on how to deal with recyclate in the region of 50-90 tonnes per year and understand what solutions might be possible and attractive to the market. It is also looking to explore opportunities to work with the supply base and/or other public bodies on the management of collected recyclate.

The councils are also open to discussing any length of contract or partnership and how to include flexibility within the contact to help manage the risks.

Established in 1998, the Partnership is made up of elected members and officers from all of the Warwickshire authorities (Warwickshire County Council; North Warwickshire Borough Council; Stratford-on-Avon District Council; Rugby Borough Council; Nuneaton and Bedworth Council).

The transfer of waste out of Warwickshire would be considered, but local tipping points are required to ensure the solutions are sustainable.

An industry day is scheduled for 17 May, 2017.
