The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) has qualified three teams for the P3 elements of the Contrecoeur terminal project.
The three teams are:
Axium Infrastructure & Pomerleau Capital
Ports America Holdings
Terminal Investment Limited
Under the plans, private partners will design, build, finance, operate and maintain a new container terminal as part of the larger Contrecoeur expansion project - which is aiming to strengthen the existing port to make it a “world-class” logistics hub.
Under an indicative timeline, an RFP will be issued in the coming weeks with responses due roughly a year later. A winner is expected to be announced Q2 2023.
Martin Imbleau, president and chief executive officer of the MPA, said the responses to the RFQ “confirmed the strong interest in our project locally, nationally and internationally.
“This expansion will consolidate the Port of Montreal’s role as a driver of development for Quebec and Canada.”
