The City of Conroe, Texas, has released a request for proposals (RFP) on its upcoming mixed-use P3 project.

Conroe is looking for private partners to deliver a “transformational” development of a latent 0.7 acre site into a residential/commercial mixed-use space.

Currently the site has aging structure and parking facilities, which are to be replaced by a housing and commercial development, with a vertical parking garage.

The city said it will look into a P3 for the development, with the developer to provide the financial capacity to “complete and sustain” the project.

The project represents a “unique opportunity to bring additional retail and residential living into the immediate downtown”, the city said.

Responses are due December 9, 2021.
