The Chilean Ministry of Public Works has released a request for proposals (RFP) on its latest healthcare P3 project, the National Cancer Institute of Santiago.

Under the $175m plan, a private partner will finance and deliver a new 249-bed facility, with a number of specialist wings and oncology pavilions, operating and maintaining it for 19 years after completion.

Over the last few years, Chile has strongly favored the use of P3s in the healthcare sector, using it to deliver a spate of hospitals across the country including signing a $297m project earlier this month and awarding a four-hospital bundle earlier this year.

Responses for the Santiago proposals are due January 4, 2022, with a winner expected near the end of the month.
