Peru’s private investment agency ProInversion has released a request for qualifications (RFQ) for two new hospital P3 schemes.
Under the plans, private partners will deliver two new hospitals in Piura and Chimbote, with an expected capital expenditure of $109m and $143m respectively.
The agency is looking to attract “experienced and specialized” global investors for the concession that will include 17 years of operation and maintenance.
Responses to the prequalifications are due February 2022.
Across South America, the healthcare sector has emerged as a favorite for authorities using P3s, with Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Chile all utilizing the model.
