Florida college eyes future P3s

RFP launched for pool of advisors

Florida’s Miami Dade College has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for P3, infrastructure & real estate advisors to help develop its property portfolio.

The college is “assessing current real estate portfolios to identify project opportunities” with a view to “developing plans to optimize and transform assets, in accordance with campus master plans”.

The authority currently has eight campuses across the county, as well as several satellite facilities in south Florida.

Alongside assessing the opportunity and conducting feasibility studies, the advisors will be in charge of “evaluating and executing P3s”, advising on negotiations and partner selection.

The RFP may be used to “screen and generate a pool” of advisors that the authority can utilize over time.

Responses are due November 5, 2020.
