Dentons adds Peru infrastructure practice

Law firm Dentons has announced the addition of an Infrastructure Law specialty to its existing portfolio in Peru.

The new area will be led by Angie Umezawa and Max Carneiro, who are joining the firm as Senior Associates.

Manuel Barrios, Dentons Peru Partner, said: “We are thrilled to be adding this capability with the appointment of two seasoned and respected lawyers. We look forward to being better positioned to address our clients’ needs in this important area.”

Umezawa has extensive experience in the design and structuring of private investment promotion processes, public-private partnerships and private initiatives related to infrastructure and public services projects.

Carneiro has advised public entities and private companies in the structuring, tendering, development and implementation of public-private infrastructure projects (ports, airports, roads, railways and urban transport systems) in Peru and abroad.
