Ashurst makes partner hire in New York

Law firm Ashurst has announced the appointment of a P3 expert to its New York office.

Matthew Tague joins from JPMorgan Chase where he was an executive director & assistant general counsel and advised the bank’s Public Finance Group.

He has been representing underwriters on municipal bond issuances for almost 15 years. He has advised on all types of municipal bonds, including those issued to finance US P3 projects, general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, as well as bonds involving conduit borrowers.

Prior to JP Morgan, Tague was a member of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe’s public finance group in New York.

Separately, rating agency KBRA has announced that Michele Patterson will assume the role of Managing Director of Business Development for Project Finance and Infrastructure.

Patterson joined KBRA in May 2013 as a Senior Director and Head of RMBS Ratings. In her new role, Patterson will manage KBRA’s business development efforts on rating project finance and infrastructure transactions in addition to her coverage of all mortgage-backed securities. Patterson reports directly to Dana Bunting, Co-Head of Business Development.

Prior to joining KBRA, she worked at Fitch Ratings.
