Preferred bidders due for Canadian P3s

Exclusive: Final bids have been submitted for two Canadian P3 projects and preferred bidders are expected over the next 60 days, sources tell P3 Bulletin.

Three shortlisted teams have submitted final bids for the bundled contract to design, build and finance the Confederation Line East and West extensions.

The teams are:

- Confederation Transit Group (CTG): Ferrovial, Colas and Tomlinson;
- East West Connectors (EWC): Kiewit and Vinci;
- Confederation Line 2 Partners (CL2P): Bechtel, Aecon, Pomerleau and EBC

Three other teams have also submitted binding bids for the design, build and finance project to expand Highway 401.

The three teams are Blackbird Infrastructure Group, LINK401 and West Corridor Constructors. They were pre-qualified and invited to respond to a request for proposals in March 2018.

The Highway 401 Expansion Project is approximately 18 kilometers long and is located within the western part of the Greater Toronto area, from the Credit River in Mississauga to Regional Road 25 in Milton.

Preferred bidders for both projects will be announced within the next 60 days.
