Lake Superior State University has selected PFM as municipal advisor and Dickinson Wright as legal counsel for its student housing improvements project.
Rieth Jones Advisors is already acting as development advisor for the authority, which issued a request for proposals in early October to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain existing, renovated and new housing facilities on Lake State’s main campus in Sault Ste. Marie.
Under the $40-50m deal, the university is also exploring the development of an 80,000 gross sq ft indoor athletics facility between the Norris Center and Easterday Avenue.
The university has 2,151 students enrolled for the fall 2018 semester, with a total of 935 beds across its campus housing system.
The authority will hold interviews with potential respondents on December 4-5, with a shortlist expected the week of December 10.
