Former Meridiam COO joins Arup

Meridiam Infrastructure’s former chief operating officer has joined Arup as a principal in its New York office.

Tim Treharne will be part of the firm’s executive leadership team, with a focus on financial, commercial, and technical advisory services.

Andy Howard, chairman of Arup Americas, said: "With Tim joining our team, Arup gains a seasoned business leader with a proven background in building successful teams and delivering high-value, quality advice to clients."

With over 28 years of experience in project finance, Treharne worked as head of global infrastructure at Bank of America as well as a senior director and vice chairman of global infrastructure at KPMG.

He has supported various governments across Europe, the US and Latin America in devising P3 programs and reviewing legislation and has also advised clients from the public and private sectors on projects in the transportation, water, energy and social infrastructure sectors.

During his time at Meridiam Infrastructure in Paris, Treharne was responsible for monitoring projects from procurement to financial close.

Howard added: "This is a transformative time for Arup and Tim's global leadership experience will give us a game-changing boost as we continue to scale our advisory offering."
