The following firms submitted responses to a request for statements of interest and qualifications which the CPRA issued in June for the design, construction, financing and monitoring of marsh creation and ridge restoration projects in south-eastern Louisiana:
JV (Crosby Dredging, Delta Land Services, T. Baker Smith);
CSRS-Eco Coastal (CSRS + EcoSystem Renewal);
Ecological Restoration Services;
Ecological Service Partners;
Ecosystem Investment Partners;
Restoration Systems
A spokesperson for the CPRA confirmed to P3 Bulletin that “all six meet the minimum criteria to perform this type of work,” adding that it plans to issue an RFP in early January.
The RFP will ask respondents to present coastal protection projects in the Barataria Basin, along with all aspects of implementation such as site selection, design methodology, delivery timeframe, land acquisition, monitoring plan, funding and total cost.
The spokesperson added: “The RFPs will subsequently be reviewed and one or more projects will be selected for implementation, depending on the amount of funding we have for the program.”
The CPRA anticipates that contracts for selected projects will have a value of up to $65m.
