The Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA) is seeking partners to redevelop the 8th and K Property for housing and mixed-use purposes.
While “commitments of funding from investors and lenders are preferred”, proposals should also include details on the operation and management of the project at the end of construction works.
Located at the north-east corner of a block by 8th Avenue, 9th Avenue, K Street and L Street, the project is part of ACDA plans to revamp downtown Anchorage and increase housing units in the area.
Consisting of three parcels, the property is in proximity of other assets under redevelopment and the authority is seeking details on how much parking is needed for the current project as well as for a separate ongoing project to deliver at least 90 units of mixed-income senior housing nearby.
The authority will host an industry day on December 4, with registration due by November 21.
Developers have until November 21 to submit questions, with responses to the RFP due by January 25, 2019.
Under the current schedule, qualified teams should emerge on February 1.
