Former Macquarie MD joins Canada Bank

The Canada Infrastructure Bank has appointed a head of investments from the private sector.

Nicholas Hann is joining the organization as head of investments, effective immediately and will implement the Bank’s investment strategy.

Hann has lived in Canada and worked in the Canadian infrastructure market since 2001. Most recently, as senior managing director of Macquarie Capital Markets Canada, and was involved in all aspects of Macquarie’s North American infrastructure business.

Pierre Lavallée, Bank president and chief executive officer, said: “Nick is deeply familiar with the commercial, technical, legal and financial aspects of large infrastructure investments. His insights and relationships will be important as we pursue co-investments in the areas of public transit, trade and transportation, and green infrastructure.”

The Canada Infrastructure Bank uses federal support to attract private sector and institutional investment to new revenue-generating infrastructure projects that are in the public interest.
