The private sector partner will design, construct and provide partial financing for the treatment facility and be responsible for operations and maintenance of the new water treatment plant, the new wastewater treatment plant, and the water storage and distribution systems for 10 years after construction.
Upgrades will address the treatment plant’s current capacity constraints and replace the aging infrastructure.
The government of Canada will contribute up to US$9.5m through the P3 Canada Fund towards the project in Kananaskis Country.
Deadline for submissions is 31 October and the procurement authority is Infrastructure Alberta.
