Under the proposals, a P3 deal had been mooted for a new parking facility in Moorestown, Burlington County, which also included additional pedestrian walkways, outdoor seating for businesses, and bulking up landscaping, especially along nearby residences.
In 2009 the Taylor Design Group of Mount Laurel completed a study for the advisory committee that aimed to ease some of the long-standing parking issues in the region.
Also included within the plans was a facility to increase the number of parking spaces from 352 to 457 for the more than two dozen businesses and other properties in the area.
However, Mayor Stacey Jordan has now claimed that other infrastructure work across the region was of a higher priority and plans have been put on hold.
