The Strabag-Concay consortium, Cintra, Odinsa Group and Odebrecht are among the firms to register interest in the deal, which will see the development of a 139km highway in Cañasgordas, passing through the cities of Ramita, Mutatá and Dabeiba.
The deal is valued at around $800m and will include the construction of 27 tunnels and 51 bridges and is designed to improve the connection of the city of Uraba Medellin and the Colombian Pacific Coast.
Issued by the country’s infrastructure agency ANI, the project is also part of the country’s Fourth Generation of road concessions, which makes up part of the government’s $60bn infrastructure plan.
