Brazil's Curitiba metro relaunched

The tender for the Curitiba metro PPP in the Brazilian state of ParanĂ¡ has been relaunched to resolve bidder-led contract concerns.

Following a request by an interested bidder, the city of Curitiba has amended a clause within the deal to clearly stipulate that remuneration would be made in the form of an annual payment from the city to the eventual concession holder.

The modification does not change any additional details within the tender and interested parties now have until August 25 to submit proposals.

As previously reported by P3 Bulletin, the previous tender had set August 11 as the deadline.
Under the terms of the contract, the eventual winner will oversee the development of the blue line metro, spanning 17.6km and 15 stations. The project involves the stretch between CIC-Sul and the Terminal do Cabral.
