Shortlist for Toronto college P3

Infrastructure Ontario and Seneca College have shortlisted three teams to design, build and finance the Seneca College King Campus phase one expansion project

The shortlisted teams that will be invited to respond to a request for proposals in late 2014 are:
  • EllisDon Corporation with MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects and Montgomery Sisam Architects 
  • PCL Constructors Canada with NORR and TD Securities 
  • E2P Educational & Environmental Partnership with IBI and Teeple Architects, Bird Construction, Plan Group and Stonebridge 

These teams were shortlisted following a request for qualifications process which began in April 2014.

The Seneca College King Campus in King City is home to approximately 3,500 full-time students. Phase one of the expansion will create space for additional 1,450 students.

The project includes a new academic facility to accommodate approximately 25 new classrooms with computer labs, a library. Features of phase one also include a new student centre, which will include a multi-purpose athletic and recreation space featuring a gymnasium and event spaces, partially funded by the Seneca Student Federation and the Student Athletic Association. The contract will also include minor renovation to the main academic facility and to existing site services.

Dialog Design has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario to lead the planning, design and compliance aspects of the Seneca College King Campus Phase I expansion in York Region. Dialog Design will be responsible for establishing guidelines and performance requirements for the buildings and will also monitor construction progress and provide oversight services throughout the course of the project.
