Texas city signs CNG P3

The city of Lake Jackson in Texas has signed a new compressed natural gas (CNG) P3 contract.

Lake Jackson has signed the  10-year deal with the CNG Energy Partners, who will now build operate and partially finance the CNG station.

The City is providing land and access to its exsiting CNG facility, with the private team set to invest over $1.5M in capital required to build public access and to upgrade existing equipment to facilitate fast fueling to general public.

The commercial facility will support the increasing local desire to embrace the latest environmental technologies and reduce pollution levels in surrounding communities.

Following the announcement, the construction process is now underway, with its opening projected for December 2015.
