Speaking to CBC in her end of year interview, Wynne confirmed that the province is looking at delivering a public building retrofitting program in 2016, and will also look at supporting people retrofit their homes.
She urged the federal government to provide greater support to the provinces on retrofitting. “I think [retrofitting] is one of the ways that the federal government can work with provinces," she said.
Wynne reconfirmed her commitment to P3s, arguing that they will help create more jobs in the province.
Ontario’s P3 program came under heavy criticism last December, when the province’s auditor-general questioned their value for money.
