Advisor chosen for Ontario offices P3

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has chosen an advisor to provide architectural, design and programming services for the relocation of provincial government employees from the Macdonald Block Complex.

Gensler Architecture and Design Canada has won the contract following a competitive tender, and will plan, program, and design the leasehold improvements required at each of the temporary locations.

IO is working with the Ministry of Infrastructure to reconstruct the publicly owned Macdonald Block Complex. The project will be completed over eight years, with employees beginning to move out of the complex in late 2018.

In August, IO selected Adamson Associates Architects to establish the guidelines and performance requirements for a P3 to design, build, and finance the government buildings, which are comprised of the Macdonald Block Podium, and the Hearst, Hepburn, Mowat and Ferguson towers.
