The project called “Modernización, Eficiencia y Seguridad del Aeropuerto Internacional La Aurora de la Ciudad de Guatemala” will be procured by Guatemala’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing and public authority Anadie.
Teams bidding for the advisory services contract at La Aurora airport are:

- Felipe Ochoa y Asociados, Louis Berger and Ríos Ferrer
- Copenhagen Airport and Arena de Dinamarca

- INECO and Cal y Mayor y Asociados
Services to be provided include a diagnosis of the current situation of the airport, identification and distribution of risks, technical, economical and legal studies plus determinate if the project will be carried under regular public works or P3.
Worth $200m, La Aurora will be partly financed by the US government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation.
Meanwhile, Anadie and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration have signed an agreement to cooperate in the structuring of projects. The first project in the list is the construction of the new rail and freight terminal Tecún Umán II under a DBFO scheme.
Other projects in the pipeline include the $65m road Escuintla - Puerto Quetzal and $240m State Administrative Center (CAE).
