Advisors sought for Missouri airport P3

A city in Missouri has issued a request for proposals for consultants to develop an airport P3.

The city of St Louis is seeking advisors to initiate procurement for the lease of St Louis Lambert International Airport under a P3 model.

The US federal government confirmed earlier this year that the airport had been accepted for the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Privatization Pilot Program to be procured as a P3.

Advisors, who should have a focus on privatization and financial services, will assist the city in conducting due diligence, hosting site visits, drafting transaction documentation for the lease agreement as well as the request for qualifications and request for proposals, among other tasks.

Financial Management and Siebert and Cisneros Shank & Co have recently acted as financial advisors to the city as the airport undertook a bond financing.

The city hopes that the two firms will feature in each proposer’s team.

Interested parties have until 5pm on October 20 to submit proposals, with questions due by October 13.
