Red Electrica del Sur (Redesur), subsidiary of Spanish Red Electrica Group, has been awarded the concession Tintaya-Azangaro 220 kV transmission line.
With an offer of up to $12m, Redesur has beaten Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios, Celeo Redes, Interconexión Eléctrica, Abengoa Perú and Conelsur.
Under a 30-year concession, Redesur will be responsible for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of a 128km line that will provide energy to the stations of El Angel and San Gaban.
Works, to be completed in 40 months, will also include expansion and modernisation of the substations of Tintaya in Cusco and another in Azángaro.
It is expected an investment of $55m.
