Build America Bureau head leaves

Executive director leaves after less than a year at the helm; Batic director of project development has also left

The executive director of the US Department of Transportation’s Build America Bureau, Martin Klepper, has resigned, P3 Bulletin understands.

Sources close to the organization have confirmed that Klepper, who also led the Build America Transportation Investment Center (Batic), has left his role, having only been appointed to the position in January this year.

Batic director of project development Jodie Misiak has also left the organization.

The bureau declined to comment at the time of publication, and no news on a replacement or the future of the agency has been announced at this time.

Misiak oversaw the launch of Batic in 2015 under the administration of Barack Obama.

The bureau was launched to spearhead federal investment in regional infrastructure and act as a harness for the facilitation of P3s across the country.
