Govt dissolves P3 Canada

Canadian Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi has announced the government of Canada’s intention to dissolve PPP Canada.

The agency’s operations are expected to cease by the end of 2017 with it being dissolved, effective March 2018.

The decision has been made following PPP Canada’s successful development of the country’s P3 market over the past eight years.

Since its creation P3 Canada has been at the forefront of significant bgrowth of the country’s market, sspearheading and supporting a broad pipeline of projects.

“PPP Canada has played an important role in developing the P3 market in Canada. With the P3 model now widely adopted across the country, PPP Canada has effectively fulfilled its mandate.

“Canada will continue to be a world leader in p3s and the government continues to support the model as an effective way to build more infrastructure across Canada.”
