One in for Louisiana uni energy deal

A university in Baton Rouge has received just one proposal for an energy P3.

Bernhard Energy was the only firm to submit a proposal to manage energy assets and related infrastructure at Southern University and A&M College for energy saving purposes.

A spokeswoman for the authority told P3 Bulletin that “the proposal is under review”.

The institution issued a request for proposals in October to procure partners willing to invest in the replacement, maintenance and operation of energy assets through a long-term lease, sharing risks with the university.

The mandatory pre-bid conference drew a total of 15 representatives from various firms, including Veolia North America, Siemens, Johnson Controls and Bernhard Energy.

Meanwhile, Wayne State University and Corvias reached financial close for a student accommodation P3.
