Green light for Ecuador bridge P3

A bridge in south Ecuador has been given the green light to be delivered as P3.

President Lenin Moreno has signed an order to approve the delivery of the Guayaquil Southern bridge to be constructed under a P3 scheme.

Moreno signed the approval after the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) declared technical, economic and legal viability for the project.

Valued at $911m, the new bridge will allow rapid access to the cities of Duran and Guayaquil and their ports.

Under a 40-year concession, works will involve the construction of a 44.2km four-lane road, including four bridges of 855m, 3.4km, 30m and 855m in length.
