Walsh promotes P3 VP

The Walsh Group has appointed a vice president of strategic projects.

The US contractor has announced that Caryn Maxfield has been promoted to the Chicago-based role.

As vice president, Caryn will be responsible for managing all facets of strategic projects, including P3s, other alternative delivery pursuits, owner contract negotiations, contract risk reviews, negotiating partner and designer agreements, and general pursuit support.

Matthew Walsh, co-chairman of the Walsh Group said: "Caryn was asked to join us with the specific goal of transitioning her into this position. She has excelled and has shown a great commitment to our company and educating our teams."Under Caryn's leadership, strategic projects will continue to deliver tremendous value to our business groups throughout their pursuits and negotiations," Walsh added.

Prior to joining Walsh in 2012, Caryn was senior surety counsel for Liberty Mutual Surety specializing in project and contract underwriting, completion of defaulted projects, contract negotiations and claims analysis.

As previously reported Walsh is a member of the Rock Creek Parking Partners consortium shortlisted for the Smithsonian National Zoological Park Central Parking Facility P3 Project. 

The firm is also in the mix for Ontario’s Brockville General Hospital redevelopment project.
