Denver approves Arup P3 contract

Denver City Council has approved an extension to Arup’s contract to develop the city’s P3 program.

The amount and term of the contract can increase, exercising a one year extension through to December 31, 2018 for advisory services and the development of a P3 program and communications plan.

As previously reported, the contract extension was postponed to allow the administration more time for education on P3 for councillors and staff.

City staff plan to have a centralized P3 unit in 2018.

Denver International Airport is expected to reach financial close on the Great Hall P3 next week

Meanwhile, EY has been selected to advise the Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority on its upcoming P3 procurement process. The solicitation process for a private partner to design, construct, operate, maintain and finance the beltway's remaining 10 miles around Denver is expected to get underway in 2018.
