West Virginia uni launches residential P3

A university in West Virginia has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a new campus development to be delivered under a P3 model.

West Virginia University is looking for developers to design, build, finance and potentially manage the Beckley WV Campus project.

Under the plans, the university aims to add up to 250 traditional dormitory-style beds on the campus, plus two 50-75 seat traditional lecture halls, as well as public spaces and other related facilities for students.

West Virginia wants the new provision at the Beckley campus to be ready for occupancy by August 1, 2019.

Last week, Western Carolina University launched a P3 to develop student housing on its Millennial Campus (West Campus Area).
