Western Carolina University, through its Endowment Fund, is looking for partners to design, build and finance a student housing facility on its Millennial Campus (West Campus Area).
Under the plans, the selected developer will construct two residence halls with a capacity of 600 and 400 beds respectively, to be available by fall 2020.
The winner will also maintain and manage the project as part of a long-term lease with the university’s Endowment Fund.
Interested parties have until January 4 to ask for clarifications, with qualifications and proposals due by February 2.
The authority anticipates that a shortlist should be available by March to select a final developer in April.
Earlier this month, Corvias has agreed financial close terms on the development of a university project in the state of Michigan.
