Under the plans the Lakeshore West Infrastructure Improvements Program is to be delivered under the design build finance model to expand infrastructure.
The project, which is part of the Metrolinx Regional Express Rail (RER) Program, consists of bundling multiple individual projects across the corridor network into a single program.
The scope includes but is not limited to: station upgrades, accessibility upgrades, bridge replacements, grade separations, track work & various other in-corridor infrastructure works.The infrastructure upgrades are required to accommodate the planned expansion of GO Transit rail service on the Lakeshore West line.
Both questions and responses are due by February 2.
Metrolinx has also outlined its procurement strategy and timeline for the RER On-Corridor Works, which will be procured as a P3.
Meanwhile, Toronto-based institutional investor Sun Life Global Investments has appointed Lazard Asset Management as sub-advisor for the Sun Life Infrastructure Fund, formerly Sun Life Sentry Infrastructure Fund.
