Aviva Investors has said that UK real assets have higher prospects for growth than continental Europe over the next five years.

Aviva Investors has said that UK real assets have higher prospects for growth than continental Europe over the next five years.

In the latest issue of its Real Assets House View publication, the firm said that increased flexibility and monetary policy, together with the broad reopening of the UK economy will lend itself to “greater room for capital growth”.

Although headwinds such as inflation will likely persist, real assets will continue to be an attractive option for institutional investors, particularly having demonstrated robustness and lower volatility during the pandemic.

Alongside traditional assets, Daniel McHugh, chief investment officer and Aviva Investors, said that there is “large amounts of value yet to be discovered” in the UK’s Net Zero plans as funding mechanisms and policy support for emerging nascent technologies become clearer.
