The Government of New South Wales, Australia, has shortlisted three teams for the SSTOM package of its Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project.
The teams bidding for the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) are:
- Bradfield Metro:
John Laing, Keolis Downer, FCC and Hitachi Rail - Parklife Metro:
Plenary, Webuild, RATP Development and Siemens - WestGo:
Pacific Partnerships, Acconia, DIF, UGL, ComfortDelGro and Coleman Rail
Under the plans, a new 23km railway line, with six stations, is to be developed between St Marys and Western Sydney Aerotropolis - connecting the airport to the larger metro network.
In June, NSW started procuring partners for the project, which it said is a “significant opportunity for organisations [to] work collaboratively and co-operatively” – with at least the SSTOM package set to be procured through a PPP.
The contract is expected to be awarded by the end of 2022.
